DIRECTIONS:
Begin by sautéing onions, mushrooms, and peppers together until softened. Transfer to a casserole dish and set aside.
In the same pan, brown the ground beef.
Add the browned ground beef to the casserole dish with the peppers and onions. Mix everything well.
In a separate bowl, combine eggs and cream. Pour the mixture over the beef and veggies.
Top the casserole with grated cheese and bake in a preheated oven for about 25 minutes at 200ºC/400ºF, until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden.
Once the cheese is melted and starting to brown, remove from the oven. Cut the casserole into approximately 8 squares and serve immediately.
Optionally, serve with a dollop of homemade mayonnaise.
