INGREDIENTS

GRITS:

* 2 cups low fat milk

* 2 cups water

* 1 teaspoon Kosher salt

* 1 cup yellow cornmeal grits

* 2 tablespoons salted butter

* 1 cup shredded white cheddar cheese

SHRIMP & SAUCE:

* 4 slices bacon, chopped

* 1½ pounds shrimp, peeled & de-veined

* 1½ cups chopped onion

* 3 cloves garlic, minced

* 3 tablespoons cornstarch

* 1½ cups low sodium chicken broth

* 1 cup heavy cream

* 1 tablespoon butter

* 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

* 1 teaspoon hot sauce

* 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt

* 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

* 1/2 cup chopped green onions

* 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
