Salted Caramel Butter Bars




Heavenly Caramel and Butter Bliss Bars

2 cups unsalted butter, room temperature

1 cup sugar

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

4 cups all-purpose flour

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

1 cup caramel sauce

1/2 teaspoon sea salt



Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Gradually add the flour to the butter mixture, mixing until a smooth dough forms.

Press half of the dough evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes until light golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.

Pour the sweetened condensed milk over the baked crust. Drizzle caramel sauce on top and sprinkle with sea salt.

Crumble the remaining dough over the caramel layer and return to the oven. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the topping is firm and lightly golden.

Let cool completely before cutting into bars.
