Meatloaf Grilled Cheese

INGREDIENTS

For the Meatloaf:

1 pound ground beef

1 cup breadcrumbs

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup onion, finely chopped

1/2 cup bell pepper, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup ketchup

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Grilled Cheese:

Sliced bread

Butter, softened

Sliced cheddar cheese

Sliced mozzarella cheese

 

 DIRECTIONS:

For the Meatloaf:

1.Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

2.In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, minced garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.

3.Mix until well combined.

4.Transfer the mixture to a greased loaf pan, shaping it into a loaf.

5.Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the meatloaf is cooked through.

For the Grilled Cheese:

1.Once the meatloaf is cooked, let it cool slightly, then slice into 1/2-inch thick slices.

2.Butter one side of each slice of bread.

3.On the non-buttered side, place a slice of cheddar cheese, a slice of meatloaf, and a slice of mozzarella cheese.

4.Top with another slice of bread, buttered side facing out.

5.Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the sandwich on both sides until the bread is golden brown, and the cheese is melted.
