Lemon pepper smoke wings 




For the Marinade:

2 to 3 pounds chicken wings

1/4 cup olive oil

Zest of 2 lemons

Juice of 2 lemons

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

For the Lemon Pepper Glaze:

1/4 cup unsalted butter

2 tablespoons honey

1 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Salt to taste


Marinate the Wings:

In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, minced garlic, black pepper, smoked paprika, onion powder, and salt.

Add the chicken wings to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

Prepare the Smoker:

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Use your choice of wood chips or chunks for smoking. Apple or hickory wood works well with chicken.

Smoke the Wings:

Place the marinated wings on the smoker grates and smoke for approximately 2 to 2.5 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
